Get Yourself a Tongue Scraper!

If you don’t have one of these nifty tools in your arsenal when going about your dental hygiene routine, get one ASAP!

Ever since I first heard about tongue scrapers, I purchased them immediately. I’ve always struggled with my dental health and when I heard about the benefits of reducing bad breath through using a tongue scraper, I was game to try it. Cut to a few years later, using a tongue scraper morning and night has remained one of the key steps in my morning and evening routine and I believe it has played a crucial role in improving the state of my oral health for the better.

It takes some getting used to, but the general motion is to use the tongue scraper starting as far back in your mouth as possible to get at the back of the tongue and then scraping gently forward. Do this a few times rinsing the collected residue from the tool with each pass and witness the colored gunk that once resided in your mouth now swirling down the drain!

As another plus, if you find yourself in the situation where you have enjoyed food that dyed your tongue a different color, gently scrape your tongue with the tool to remove the color. It works like a charm! Do you have other useful tips and tricks to share? I would love to read them below!
