When I saw this sunscreen as an option to try based on my favorite sunscreen, I snagged one just to see how I like it. It peaked my interest since it is an untinted, mineral, fragrance-free sunscreen while having calming properties in the form of centella asiatica extract.
It is a light formulation with the consistency of lotion and it blends easily. There is an initial white cast but that disappears with a few more blending strokes. Since it is fragrance free, there are no masking scents, but there is no offensive or distinguishable smell when applying. The only downside in my opinion is the shine it leaves on the skin as well as the slight tackiness to the touch that remains throughout the day. I think the shininess would be good for body application since it leans towards making your skin glow, but all over on the face is too much for me. The stickiness on the other hand makes it a sunscreen that in my book cannot be applied to the face and left alone since a windy day or tousling your hair can cause hair to stick. Ending on a positive note, this sunscreen did not break me out!
Here are the key points summarized:
- SPF 30
- 5.25% titanium dioxide, 3.6% zinc oxide
- Not tinted (white-colored lotion)
- Blends out easily and leaves a sheen after dry down with slight tackiness
- Not water resistant
- 2oz is $39
- Squeeze tube packaging
- Repurchased? No
