If it currently isn’t on your radar, stop and take a moment to consider when was the last time you washed your sheets. The recommended frequency is about once a week! I didn’t grow up with this habit formed so it never occurred to me that I really should be changing out my sheets more often than I had been. And no, I won’t say how long I would go without fresh sheets because it is appalling.

Look, we all have areas in our lives that would make others pause and cast judgements. If what’s going on right now works for you, then by all means don’t feel like you have to change it up to adhere to the recommendation! A weekly cadence is suggested to prevent the buildup of dirt, debris, bacteria, and dust. If you have issues with acne, allergies, or sweating, this accumulation probably is not making things better so it is worth a try to switch things up and see if more frequent refreshes help. If it works, great! And if it doesn’t, then you can either go back to your old ways or extend the time in between as needed.

While we’re here, it is a good time to take a moment to consider reevaluating your habits to see whether they are serving you or hindering you from being the best version of yourself. Read my post here for inspiration and a personal anecdote!
